Cheap Travel Plans

Travel to various locations, to some, is an impossible dream, but with cheap travel plans you will be amazed at how little you have to spend to go on that dream vacation.

There are endless opportunities on the internet to find places to go and how to get there for the best prices. There are many cheap travel packages available not only for airfare, but also hotel, car and cruise deals.
 

Let's get away from it all and enjoy. Whether you want to book a flight and hotel to Honolulu, Guadalajara, Barbados, the Bahamas or London, part of the joy of being over 50 is that you can do this to enjoy your life and fulfill a lifetime of fantasies overseas.
 

Of course, you can take the kids, too. If the prices are right, you can do the whole family. Sometimes you only want a long weekend to take a breather. Or maybe a whole week...and sometimes a whole month.

Longevity or long life partly depends on your level of enjoyment. If you know how to take a break and breath in the good air, and smell the roses, you are yards ahead of the pack. You might as well enjoy it while you're here.
 

These days, with the economic downturn, the airlines are charging for extra bags. What a bummer. But you can get away, usually with only one bag you check in, and then carry on the rest of your stuff in a large bag you can sling on your shoulder. That's a little trick my daughter found to be effective.

Because of efforts to ensure air travel security, you should expect that your carry-on bags will be inspected by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Prepare yourself by following the guidelines with respect to liquids and gels. Knowing the rules can help prevent problems at the airport and keep your travel moving along without a hitch. You will not be asked to do anything that will separate you from your child or children, however.

One trip I took recently with my Mom....87 year old, mind you....they targeted her as a search victim. I mean, my mother is about as much of a risk as Jiminy Cricket. But there she was, arms extended, while security passed the wand around her body looking for metallic objects. I took a picture for the family archives.
